Shirley Ann Streck

Hastings resident, Shirley Ann Streck, 93, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings.

Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings.

Visitation will be prior to the service. A celebration of life and luncheon will be held at Southern Hills

Country Club in Hastings at 1:00 p.m following the services.

Shirley was born on April 2, 1931 on a farm near Norman, NE to John and Nellie (Schmidt) Smiley. She

attended Longfellow Elementary School and Hastings Junior and Senior High.

She married Wilbert 'Bud' Streck on January 16, 1949 in Hastings, NE. To this union, a daughter, Karla

Kaye and son, Stephen Jay were born.

Shirley worked at Mode O'Day in Hastings for 41 years. She also worked at Herbergers until her

retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Karla (Monte) Malouf. Grandchildren Christopher (Heather) Malouf,

Matthew (Kelli) Malouf, Samantha (Casey) St John, Adam Streck (Morgan Lounsbury), Arik (Zoe) Streck

and Andrew Streck. Great-grandchildren Alexis, Deegan, and Kingston St John, Bo and Kacie Malouf,

Dax and Brecken Malouf, Stevie Streck, and Stella Streck as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son, parents, brother, and 4 sisters.
