Nola J. Glover
Hastings, Nebraska resident Nola J. Glover, 83, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at The Kensington in Hastings, NE.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE, with Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Book signing and family visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, Nola requested memorials be given to Make-A-Wish America.
Nola was born on November 25, 1941, in Hastings, NE, to Wilfred and Bertha (Buhr) Kort. She married George E. Glover on August 3, 1963, and they were married for 41 years until his passing in October 2004.
Nola worked at the Hastings Tribune as a teletypist before starting her family. She later worked at the Hastings High School cafeteria for 35 years. Nola enjoyed spending time with family and friends, weekends at Harlan County Lake, and was involved in Xi Alpha Pi Sorority. She also enjoyed watching Creighton and UNL volleyball.
Nola was preceded in death by her parents, brother Willard Kort, and husband. She is survived by her sister Letha (Dick)Oxley of Lincoln, NE; Karen Hinz of Central City, NE; sons; Alan (Susan) Glover of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Mike Glover of Hastings; and Kevin Glover of Hastings; as well as 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
